Yard Service Engineer Power (Senior)

Job Purpose:

Responsible for general servicing, preparing jobs and troubleshooting and repairs of Diesel Generators and related equipment according to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Job preparation on the yard
  • Execute routine services of plant at depots and site
  • Control of spares support in accordance to company ISO9002 procedures
  • Physical control of release and return of plant, including allocation of plant to meet contract requirements
  • Attend breakdowns/ repairs at depot and on site
  • Complete service reports, time sheets and test sheets.
  • Ensure service vehicle service equipment and work area are maintained in safe and good order in compliance with QHSE

 

Required Qualification:

  • Good basic secondary education, with Mathematics or an equivalent qualification.
  • Education in Power (Electrician or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 4 years working experience as Service Engineer focussing on power or equivalent experience
  • Strong electrical bias with mechanical experience or vice versa.
  • Good knowledge of high voltage applications desirable
  • Good English language skills
  • Full valid driving licence
  • Forklift truck licence desirable

    Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Exposed to outside weather conditions
  • Standing most of the time during work
  • Required to move about or lift heavy objects
